Frans Keylard showcased this Iranian artist's talents on his Rogues Gallery show, and I was pretty impressed with what I heard.

If pushed I would suggest this falls under the progressive metal sub-genre.

Some blistering, very fresh sounding guitar work on this album.

Some quotes:

"Agah Bahari is writing cutting edge instrumental progressive rock. His guitar playing is very impressive as well." Derek Sherinian.

"Agah is a great up and coming writer and guitarist who has a really fresh sounding approach that is really welcomed by me." Ric Fierabracci.

"There is many progressive rockers in Iran that are very technical, but Agah is a young musician that plays with passion and out of love for the music. His music is pure modern prog/rock without any national and cultural limitations." ZirZamin.se

Another one for the long list of new bands / artists to consider.

I do have to add that in the meantime Agah Bahari's album "Second Sight of a Mind" has now been released on Unicorn Digital - http://www.unicorndigital.com/store.html

... and it is also available on iTunes, so the availability issue has been sorted!

A concert is a concert is a concert is a concert. An album is an album is an album is an album. Musically, both have nothing in common.

Seems like this slipped into the vaults without getting any attention, I'll check it out.

I agree, it's a good album that should've been added to the site a long time ago.

It's more or less Agah with Planet X as a backing band, so every Sherinian and Donati fan should at least give this album a chance!
