Hey - we are Fusion Collective, a collaboration of dozens of jazz fusion players from Long Island & NYC. We jam out two nites a week at clubs in Nassau & Suffolk.

We play electric jazz/funk/latin/afrocuban/fusion tunes, as well as some spontaneous improv stuff (no straight blues).

Our site is still under construction, but you can listen to recordings of our jams here http://www.fusioncollective.com/_tunes/

All fusion players are invited to join the mix!

These aren’t paid gigs, but a chance to hang with like-minded players who have a passion for this kinda music.

Here are some of our musical influences:

AIRTO, BELA FLECK, STANLEY CLARKE, JOHN COLTRANE, LARRY CORYELL, MILES DAVIS, JAN GARBAREK, JERRY GARCIA, DANNY GATTON, HERBIE HANCOCK, FREDDIE HUBBARD, CHARLIE HUNTER, JEFF BECK, ELVIN JONES, JOE FARRELL, JOE PASS, KING SUNNY ADE, RAHSAAN ROLAND KIRK, LAKE TROUT, DAVE LIEBMAN, MAHAVISHNU, TANYA MARIA, McCOY TYNER, BOB MARLEY, MMW, PAT METHENY, CHARLES MINGUS, MONGO SANTAMARIA, OREGON, BABA OLATUNJI, RETURN TO FOREVER, TERJE RYPDAL, SANTANA, TITO PUENTE, JACO, JOHN SCOFIELD, SONNY SHARROCK, MIKE STERN, STRING CHEESE, EBERHARD WEBER, WEATHER REPORT, ZAPPA, BILL FRISELL, etc.

Have you got some fusion chops? Come jam with us!
