I got the results of all the previous rounds, and now it's time to begin the quarterfinals.  I'm pitting the first winner with the last winner, the second winner with the second-to-last, and so forth.  Hopefully this will make for some interesting match ups.

So, select your favorite track from the two.

Dogs with cast iron certainty...one of the finest ever tracks in my humble opinion!
Open the gates of the city wide....

"Dogs", the kind of accomplished, timeless song Spock's Beard will never achieve to record, though their epic "At the end of the day" is a very good one.
Have no fear of perfection - you'll never reach it.

Your comment just confirmed something I have been thinking for quite some time now.

Gah, At the End of the Day... even though it'll never win. I wonder what would have happened if Spock's Beard came out with it around the same time PF came out with Dogs... then both would have the image of being "timeless classics"... hard to say how people's perceptions would change though...

That's precisely the thought I was having for quite some time.  What sort of bias is there for something just because it's been around longer?

Hi Robert.  I feel a bit sorry for SB here.

At The End of The Day is superb, one of my favourite tracks by the band and sums up all I really like about them.  However, when put up against Dogs there can be only one winner.

My vote is for Dogs, but no detriment to the Beard.

Dogs is more adventurous and has a lot of passion. An excellent song and I enjoy it a bit more than At the End of the Day.
