One of the most awesome and overlooked Prog Metal bands in my humble opinion
I Love them to death, and the lyrics are beautiful, very untypical for Prog Metal I think. They make me want to pick up a science textbook.

I only have "Empiricism" and "Origin" ... been meaning to pick up the rest of their discography. Good band.

My favourite album is Empiricism. One of my favourite metal albums of all time. I love Quintessence too. (Epic was a slight disappointment - not bad by any means, but not as good as Empiricism. Origin, I can't get into that album.)
Indeed they write very interesting lyrics, they can go a bit over the top with it at times but that's probably what makes it good. :) |

The Olden Domain is their best album. Love this band to death.

I have Quintessence and Empiricism. Both are quite excellent. They have some interesting vocal arrangements on Quintessence.
Check out Lars Nedland's other band Solefald sometime, they are very different.

He's not happy about the matching outfits.

They're good. I have Epic and The Olden Domain.
I really want to get Origin though. Out of those two I think I like TOD better which is a very underrated album. |

Epic got me into Borknagar in the first place but I have all their albums. Epic is still my favorite, but I like The Archaic Course as well and Empiricism is pretty good too. They are not my favorite band though and I much prefer Enslaved if I listen to music in this genre.
