Right, so due to this forum, I my curiosity was piqued about this band. Turns out their new album is entirely streamable from last.fm, and therefore I have been able to listen to it. It is absolutely fantastic. However, I have no idea where to really find it. Where would a fellow in the middle of the US go to get ahold of this sort of thing?

And, even if my question gets answered, we can keep discussing the band. I ran a thorough search (did it right this time), and I found no real discussion about them aside from an interview a while back. Anyone have any thoughts or answers?

Well, I reviewed it yesterday and I am still "under the influence" ! I better not drive today! LOL Very dense, amazingly active, great theatrical vocals and just a blast to listen to. After all, a good thing needs company...
I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

As you may know, I am Italian, though I moved to the US before Thanksgiving Day. Therefore, I know how hard it is to find Italian prog CDs here - actually, the only way is to order them from some online music store, such as Greg Walker's SynPhonic, or the Italian company BTF (www.btf.it). BTF usually has good prices, even in dollars, though the postage and packing may make the whole thing somewhat expensive.

Awesome stuff, ain't they?Big smile

Raff is right, Syn-phonic in the US will get you the CD.  BTF is great but the postage is killer.  Doug Larson Imports is another good US vendor but I'm not sure if he carries BdM.

The new IBDM is one of the best releases of this year. But I enjoyed the debut as well, so the band altogether puts some ravishing condiments in their music. Heavy prog must!

BDM made a great album this year... everytime I hear them I fly, it's like to be high.

Anyway, this marvelous output overshadows a bit 2 other great 2008 Italian releases: Coral Caves & J'Accuse. The 13' half-epic of CC's "Mitopoiesi" which closes the album is something to think about.

Oo, cool, looks like Synphonic is a good possibility. Thanks, folks.

And my goodness, I'm loving their flutework. I haven't heard that much character in a flautist since I last played a Jethro Tull album.

Fabulous album, like it a lot! Love the keyboards work, the heaviness, the musicianship, the melodies...

Another good source for a lot of the Italian Prog is www.gemm.com

I usually hit there when I can't find what I'm looking for.
