This is truly excellent RIO, Canterbury flavoured jazz-rock.  http://www.myspace.com/calomito

Inaudito (2005) is a very good album that bears Zappa, Henry Cow, Stormy Six, Area, The Soft Machine and Gong influences.  Wonderful.  This would be a superb addition to the archives imo.

Enjoyed it thoroughly.  Some passages on the second track were a bit cheesy for me but on the whole it was quite good.

Thanks, Pat -- I'll try to get down to some more additions in a few days; though a less overdue one one, I might start with this.

I always plan to add my suggestions (I think it fair for the suggester to be willing to prepare an addition), but too often it takes me too long to get around to adding them (as additions sometimes take me many hours to prepare).  This was to be my next one ( I really like the music), and started on it (notes and impressions), but the important thing is that it's added, and I appreciate you taking the time to do it -- and you saved me some work (funnily enough, I thought I'd have it finished by last night, but did some evaluation stuff instead).  It's great to see it in the archives. :)

Honestly, Greg, I should have checked here first - we've got more than enough to do and I would have been happy to let you do the add.  Do feel free to edit the artist page if you have more information you think is relevant.

No worries, Pat.  I think I should have let the Avant team know that I was going to prepare  the addition in the team thread to avoid the possibility of any duplication of work.  Your bio is short and sweet.  I might add some biographical details, but if I started updating it, then I'd wish to inject too much of my personality/ writing style (poor humour and some rambling included). Yours is more professional and succinct, and therefore better, than mine would have been.  Thanks for taking the time to prepare the addition, and many thanks for being so on top of the evaluation. Clap

Hey no problem!  Now to find a copy of the album, since I think the band is great.  Big smile

He is not, really, but sometimes I use RIO as a shorthand for RIO/Avant.
