On the 29th of february 2008 a new Dutch symphoband saw the light: Leap Day
This band really should be around here on PA! All wellknown musicians: Koen Roozen (drums, Flamborough Head), Eddie Mulder (guitars, Trion), Peter Stel (bass, Nice Beaver), Gert van Engelenburg (keys, King Eider Live Band), Derk Evert Waalkens (keys, King Eider) and Jos Harteveld (vocals, Pink Floyd Project).
They've released a demo cd (no title) last november, which got great reviews from Progwereld.org and IO-pages. The complete demo cd can be listened to on their myspace (www.myspace.com/leapdaymusic) or their website (www.leapday.nl)
They signed a record deal with OSKAR records and their debut album will be ready this spring.
Please check out this great new sympho/progband and spread the word here on PA

Welcome to postingdom, Gert. Thumbs Up I'm listening to the myspace now; very competent band.  I'll mention it to the "Symph/Neo Team"; thanks for the recommendation.

Notice that one of them played with King Eider, I like K.E. considerably.

Leap Day started out as the Kind Eider Live band on Progfarm 2007 with Hans Gerritse on guitars. Great show!! The first time the music of King Eider was played live ever (look at the video's here on PA).
When Hans left, the band stayed together and with the new guitarplayer (Eddie) they decided to start this new band Leap Day.
Thanks for looking in to it.
