One would think that since they are selling the CDs themselves instead of going through the usual channels they would be able to sell the CDs for cheaper then you can buy them for through the usual channels, since those additional price/profit markups aren't there.

True, but if they can charge 20 bucks, why not? Since you can't buy it anywhere else and Circa's not the chart topper, why not come up on some extra cash?Tongue

There's a bigh problem with this logic though, cause this way a lot less people will buy it, hardly making it worth it. If Clutchy Hopkins didn't sell his first CD for 5 bucks I might've never discovered one of my favorite musicians. I'm all for a golden middle...

That's just it.  A normal CD is only going to cost you $14.99 or $16.99 on-line or in a store to buy it and generally for chart toppers if you buy them in the first week you can find them on sale a lot of times for $9.99.  It just seems to go against all logic that in this day and age where people are rarely buying CDs anyways that they would want to overcharge the way that they do.  I know that it is stupid on my part and I will probably eventually break down and buy this one like I did with the first one, but for the time being I refuse to buy it as a matter of principal.  Of course, I tried that with the first one but eventually broke down and bought it when I came to the conclusion that they weren't going to reduce the price and the CDs weren't showing up on the 2nd hand market.
