Really wanted to, but I'm seein Mars Volta a few weeks earlier, and 60-ish bucks is lot to spend on a band i really like but don't find absolutely AMAZING. The meet and greet sounds pretty neat, but I'd probably be the only teenager there!

I might be going to the show, but I'm not sure as of yet...and count me in as another teenager there heh.  Not too thrilled EVER about meet and greets...what can you possibly talk about if you're not a musician, and even if you are - which I am - how far can the convos go?   I also don't buy into the whole fetishization of autographs and the like.  Still sounds cool though.  Also another thing keeping me from going is Zoltan's replacement...who here knows what the new drummer sounds like?  Chances are Roine decided to replace Zoltan for a more straigh-forward rock drummer but...damnit, Zoltan was ridiculous!!

Whole slew of shows to attend in May as well...I'm also seeing the Mars Volta in May two times (5th and 6th in NYC), George Carlin the 7th, Dredg (don't know if anyone's ever heard of them, but they're a decent - dare I say it? - pop band) the 17th, and now possibly the Flower Kings...I hope the tickets don't sell out, but in all reality, I can't possibly see that happening...

They won't sell out. As of now (I recently spoke with the ProgHouse) they are expecting to sell 200 tickets. Always room for more

You guys in New England need to go see one or both of these Protokaw shows.

6/11/05     Metuchen, New Jersey, USA     The Forum Theater (NJ Proghouse)
6/12/05     Lowell, Massachusetts, USA     The Lowell Brewery Exchange      NewEARS &nb sp;

I think the proghouse one has them with Frogg Cafe.

I'm seeing them at the ProgHouse, don't think Frogg Cafe is there, though...
