Favorite Singers same as Favorite Bands?

If you don't mind me mentioning names outside of your options (substitute other things):  The first that springs to my mind is Topi Lehtipuu (from Hoyry-Kone) in Magma.  It could work, and it would work, though I don't know that it would showcase his vocals well enough (but his operatic voice would accent Magma nicely).  Be great to have him in Magma as a violinist too (and he's a good pianist).  I think he could bring a lot to the band.  Of course Magma commonly uses several vocalists.  Yeah, I think that Lehtipuu on a new Magma album could be stunning.  I can imagine it.

I compleatly agree. Enchant is a great band. But Prog Metal? I never thought of them like that.

Ted Leonard ..  He sings  a bit like Steve Walsh back in his prime  plus Enchant is my favorite band from singers listed here, close second would be Savatage.
Everyone of the singers listed has a fantastic voice, they all deserve a vote.

I can't stand James LaBrie's singing after A Change Of Seasons. what happened to his voice? or is  the style he adopted?. and his singing live is just terrible  .

On December 29, 1994, while vacationing in Cuba, LaBrie suffered a severe case of food poisoning and while vomiting, ruptured his vocal cords. He saw three throat specialists who all said there was nothing they could do for him and the only thing he could do was rest his voice as much as possible. However, on January 12, 1995, and against doctor's orders, he was on the "Awake" tour in Japan with his voice far from normal. LaBrie has said he didn't feel vocally "normal" until at least 1997. But in 2000, the "Scenes from a Memory" tour almost destroyed his voice completely. LaBrie has said that this was a very hard time for him as a singer. He got a bit depressed and wanted to leave the band. His bandmates supported him and told him to stay. After the "Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence" tour he discovered that his voice was back. He has said that his voice was fully healed by time and training.

Prior to the incident, LaBrie on recordings displayed a range on from G2 to A5. However, following the damage to his voice, he was forced to stop incorporating high notes into Dream Theater's songs, though he continued to attempt to sing older songs like "Another Day", "Take the Time", "Voices" and "Learning to Live". Despite having now recovered the majority of the range he lost, LaBrie still tends to avoid the use of it on Dream Theater's studio material. Apart from the harmony backing vocals, the highest lead note sung on a recent Dream Theater album has been the rare F#5 scream on "Octavarium". Nevertheless, he continues to prove himself capable of recreating his classic performances during live concerts, hitting the F#5 in "Learning to Live", and sometimes even going as high as an A5 in performances of "Lines in the Sand". However, the rupturing of his vocal chords also created irreversible effects on his vocal range, and as a result, Dream Theater now regularly cut out the third verse of "Take the Time" live, in order for LaBrie to avoid the toll it takes on his voice, despite the fact that the original version calls for nothing higher than several E5 notes.

I really love Dream Theater, but Labrie is far from my favorite vocalist. The guy has a great range, I'm not going to lie, but I don't like the tone of his voice, and when he performs live he goes into an annoying vibrato far too much.

James Labrie. The only thing I don't understand is why Russel Allen is in second. He has a decent voice, but he's not great.

On Scenes From A Memory his voice is awesome!!! Or, at least, it's better than it was on Awake or Falling Into Infinity.
