While writing a post on a bass poll thread I noticed that Back Door are not in the archives. They were a Dutch jazz-rock band with a strong bluesy feeling to them and had one of the best bass players of all time in their band, the phenomenal Colin Hodgkinson, who played with many rock greats such as Alexis Korner, Brian Auger, Chris Farlowe, Jan Hammer or Jon Lord, to name but a few. Their style could be described as jazz-rock / fusion with strong bluesy overtones. Hodgkinson's chord playing technique on the bass guitar is unequalled and unrivalled.

Here a few videos of them:

Seconded. I possess two of their albums, selftitled and  ' 8th Street Nites ' both remarkable releases. If there is Bakerloo already present in PA, there should be place for Back Door as well ; moreover there are some other bands of similar music orientation which should be considered for inclusion like Keef Hartley Band for instance......

I know every scene by heart, they all went by so fast.....
Either I'm too sensitive or else I'm gettin' soft.'
