Jonas Brothers are the worst band in existence in the history of the world.

I don't know who they are; somewhere there's an old post where I tried to find out. Anyway, something tells me these guys just might be the worst band of all time...

I'm inclined to give U2 and Coldplay something of a pass here, since both bands were pretty earnest early on, even if they've turned into product lately.
Most dreck on Disney and Nick is just product, too, and it's hard to blame the young people involved. So the worst band of all time? Milli Vanilli. Not even a band, really. |

I don't think that we will find the worst band in the world. there are millions.
Just think: What's the best band in the world? I'm sure that everyone of us have our own "best band in the world". But I hate Jonas Brothers!!!!!!!!!!!!! There's a band in Mexico called Moderatto, they're really really bad. The worst heavy st*pid g*y metal band in the world. Trust me. (Excuse my English, I'm working on it ) |

has anyone heard of the band Down With Webster? Gene Simmons thinks they are the next big rock band... I say; you should think for yourself and listen. =)

Heavy title - WORST band of all time. Also very subjective....I'd have to exclude the shiny manufactured boy bands, primped up corporate divas, image-over-sound rock, etc. - they really can't help the way they are - they're patsies. So, this would basically eliminate a chunk of Backstreet Brittanies and Creeds, Motley Crues, Monkees, and Bostons. This leaves those bands whose artistic leanings bend toward those specific somethings that drive me nuts. So, I guess I'd have to say - the Art Ensemble of Chicago. Just can't get into the pull-the-elephant's-tail honking and conch shell solos. GIve me Yusef Lateef anyday. That said, the AEoC is far more dynamic and full of ideas than your average run up the FM dial. |

Oh my...It's even worse than that Smashmouth song it sounds like.
The only Art Ensemble of Chicago album I have has very poor recording quality (or MP3 quality), so I haven't heard the whole thing, but I won't let you insult Peter Brotzmann like that!

No insult to Brotzman intended.....those squawks must mean something to someone!
I've tried it man......Spiritual Unity, Machine Gun, Ascension/Om - all the honking classics. Impassioned stuff, no doubt, but soooo tough to sit thru. Still, without question, this is soul music laid bare. I may not like the stuff, but Ornette and Ayler made no concessions....the music was spontaneous and ultra-energized....almost exhausting to listen to.
I've never heard an AEoC album with Brotzman......AEoC had that whole world fusion kettle they'd filter everything thru - great idea in theory but, man, to me it was just clunks, clanks and gongs and intermittant squeals and squonks.

If I'm not mistaken I think we have a member here who was in that band - can't recall who though. I was going to say he 'claims' to have been in the band, but why would anyone lie about that? |
