Hi
I am the original guitarist and one of the founder members of CoE
Thanks for the compliment on the guitar playing.
I have heard the new music recently recorded and it sounds great, worth checking out in 2011

Well - good news! The late great Comedy of Errors are now undergoing a revival! Currently a new album is finished, with Jim Johnston (keyboards) in the driving seat, Mark Spalding on guitars and basses, and Joe Cairney on the vocals. New boy Bruce Levick is in on drums, and Hew Montgomery (ex Abel Ganz) is giving a hand on production and recording. Album title is likely to be "Disobey" and release is early 2011 on the new ACH Media label (website soon).

As for the bobmac17 videos - well, we all howled with laughter at them - absolutely brilliant! Got to be worth a free album I reckon...

Comedy Of Errors are a hugely under-rated band. They had a mini-album produced by a couple of guys from Pallas which failed to really capture the band's sound. There are also a whole load of songs which are only available as live recording bootlegs. This is no bad thing because the band are essentially a live act. One of those bands that SHOULD be heard live.
The two Youtube videos are an excellent representation of the band at their live best, warts and all. Matching the band's audio with video of Pink Floyd is really clever and I don't know why more bands don't hire bobmac17 to do their promotional work.
I'd love to hear what others think of the Comedy Of Errors tracks on Youtube.

A very clever video. I even fooled a friend of mine into thinking it really was a song from Floyd At Pompeii. And what a great song it is. Can't get it out of my head. Great guitar work too. Not the best audio quality. It's obviously live. This is well worth a look. If this band really are now defunct then it's a damn shame. I WANT MORE!!!!!! Why have I never heard of Comedy Of Errors?

You might also want to check out The Rebel by Comedy Of Errors. It's another live track made to look like Pink Floyd are playing it. A fabulous prog track.

I am a German prog fan and have recently discovered the music of the now defunct Scottish prog rock band Comedy Of Errors. I add video to their music and post it on Youtube under the name bobmac17.
An example is the song Disobey which seems to be played by Pink Floyd around the time of Pompeii. It's fun but hopefully highlights the excellent music of Comedy Of Errors. Please check it out.
