Well I found out some depressing news and something to be added to the bio section. Jon Wearing, singer on the Earth Omen album and mainly responsible for Frijid Pink going prog, died on January 4, 2009.

OK guys, band details updated, with mention of their reformation, and link to their MySpace page... Should you have access to a better pic of the band, please post it here, so that I can add them to their entry page. Thanks a lot, Tim!

Thanks for Frijid Pink addition... Anerican early Prog... This is this weekend... long Weekend... It is the Easter weekend... So... Hendrix, Frijid pink, Iron Butterly, Vanilla Fudge...
...A glass of Prosecco D.O.C. Colli Asolani e Montello (That I prefer respect to Prosecco D.O.C. Conegliano e Valdobbiadene... Costs less and is less dry [more sweet]) is what we want with this music!

Their myspace page has at least four + new songs that they recorded that past year or so.

Nice work guys, but could someone add to the bio that since 2007 Frijid Pink has reformed and are finishing if not working on a release date for their new album. Here's a link to their official website, which is a myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/frijidpinknow
Thanks! |

Their first album is awesome, and the second is good too. I've never heard Earth Omen, so I guess I should check that out. |

I am happy to announce that Frijid Pink have been approved for addition by the Heavy Prog team, and that their addition will happen in the next few days. Thanks to all who have provided info and feedback!

Which WA album were you thinking of?
I've never thought of them as particularly Prog - maybe a bit Epic Rock (heh - I can make up my own genres if I want - seems everyone else does ).
But then I only know Pilgrimage and Argus - both great albums, BTW. I've got a couple of others of theirs, but they're weak in comparison hence I dont even remember what they're called.

The important thing is not to stop questioning.

Heavy Prog or Prog Related... PA is a site for FP!
Uhm ... But if Frijid Pink is HP... Why Wishbone Ash are only PR? Edited by Mandrakeroot - April 06 2009 at 04:19 |
