Dio is still sounding good, I think he´s in his sixties now!
Another thought, would Heaven and Hell be considered as Prog Related (After all, it is just Sabbath with a different name)

That's a good point, you know... Anyway, it's for the Admins to decide, unless they are so prog that we can add them to Heavy ProgWink!

They're coming to Argentina, you know, though I've never been that keen of Dio's voice, and much less his vocal dutie within Sabbath, despite Heaven and Hell, the album, musically, is on par with a lot of Ozzy's stuff, no doubt.

I saw Heaven and Hell last August, and I'd say they're well worth your while, cacho. Iommi live is just amazingly sinister.

As for "Bible Black," well, I never would've guessed the band would sound this solid at this stage in the game. Nice production, too. It doesn't feel modern at all!

I agree with you about the cover, makes "Born Again" pale in comparison. Even though I am not a Christian I do think it gets a bit much with all this Christian bashing, maybe they should move on and explore other topics......

The track sounds indeed really really solid!!! Nothing less that you would expect from this Sabbath line-up.
Lets hope the rest of the album is at the same standards... Long live the Sabbath

Wow Sabbath is back! Amazing cover art too, the best of any Sabbath and related albums!

I agree with WaywardSon.  I was about to buy Ozzy's Black Rain but when I listened to a couple tracks off of it I was really disappointed and couldn't believe that Ozzy would make another album as bad as No More Tears. Oh well maybe he'll get his you-know-what-together if and when Black Sabbath decides to record an album.

I love Black Sabbath with Dio. I think when they have a go(o)d singer the can strech more musically.

with a first listen, I felt quite dissapointed, the tracks seem to flow on a relatively slow tempo with similar riffs and identical to Iommi's personal albums - let's see if I change my mind

Bible Black is one of the highlights

Eating the Cannibals left me with an "Oh no they didn't just do that, did they?" moment.

Yeah I really hate to say it (and I mean really, really hate to say it), but on first listen I was also very disappointed. Now mind you I've only listened to it once and I was on the computer talking to someone...but damn that album went by and the only songs that made me take a break from every thing else was Atom and Evil and Bible Black. Hopefully when I try again tonight everything will hit me and I'll fall in love with it...otherwise I'll just leave it out so I can look at the awesome album cover. Confused

I loved the album but am not surprised with the disappointment expressed here, it's in keeping with the low ratings for Tyr and Dehumanizer on this website, both imo excellent Sabbath albums.  They just got too metal at that point for the general rock audience and the way prog rock fans perceive metal is not too different from the way the rock audience does either.  Too much slow, midpaced doomy stuff that I find delicious but it's not for all tastes. Still, this is the fourth place Dio Sabbath album by some distance, with Mob Rules third and Dehumanizer second in my opinion.
