I hereby suggest Bill Laswell's avant project Praxis for inclusion in the archives on the grounds of their album Transmutation (Mutatis Mutandis) (1992). Bill Laswell, as most of you avant folks know, was Frith's partner in crime in Massacre. He was also a member of Daevid Allen's New York Gong, Last Exit, & Painkiller. Praxis' lineup is equally impressive as their music. Buckethead plays guitar, Bernie Worrell & Bootsy Collins from Parliamant Funkadelic play organ & bass respectively, & soon-to-be Primus drummer Bryan "Brain" Mantia kicks @$$ on the skins. Their music is a mix of avant, thrash, funk, & electronic. Here are a few tracks from the album:

Praxis is f**king awesome, although I'm sure they have been suggested before and were rejected, but hey I could be wrong.
Prog or not, they are a kick ass band and EVERYONE, not just the Avant team, need to hear it. Buckethead rules too.

They were suggested a while back, but i don't think they were officially rejected; they never made it onto our list if i remember correctly. i was not too keen on their addition or their music, but it is definitely worth bring up with the team. i'm a little stubborn when it comes to those genre mashing projects, and i think my opinion is more a minority than the majority.
