Topic: A bug while inserting images Posted: April 21 2009 at 00:16 |
I'm on Mac OS X 10.5.6. and my web browser is Safari 3.2.1 (5525.27.1), and every time I try to insert an image, after putting the image url in the correct field and pressing OK I get this message "Error inserting object in current location". Then I try it again and it works the way it should. It's not a big problem, but I thought I'd let you know
What the..? Now I was testing it on this post to get the correct error message, but all three images I tried to add didn't give any errors but worked like a charm. Then I went to the Listening to now thread where I've mostly had these problems before, and there it was again first the error and then it was ok. Weird.

I've noticed that the error comes only when there's no text written to the post before inserting the image.

^ Nobody seems to care about your problem, unfortunately. I feel for you, 'cause I've been having an image problem myself. See, in older Opera web browsers, apparently when you type a message then insert an image into the same post, the text dissapears while the image takes up the entire post. Then, when I tried to post the message, it gave me a message saying that there was nothing in the message to post. Wha--?!

^Ouch, that's bad.
Now that I've found a way to bypass the error by inserting a letter in the message field before a picture, it's pretty fine.
