Canadian astronaut to return into space to record a French version of "Space Oddity", as asked by some deputees from Quebec (article in French):
http://www.legorafi.fr/2013/05/15/lastronaute-canadien-chris-hadfield-va-retourner-dans-lespace-enregistrer-une-version-francaise-de-son-space-oddity/

In which I learned that David Bowie's first hit-single was covered in French by singer Gérard Palaprat in 1971.

Russia sends missile system to Syria.

BBC article

Possibly to deter western intervention, as concern grows about use of chemical weapons by both sides.

I don't think western intervention is happening away, though I know Cameron is pushing for it.  We have reasons not to intervene apart from Russia's muscle flexing.

Main worry here is Israel getting pissed if the missiles make their way to Hezbollah.

Israel has also said they will 'bring down' Assad if Syria dares retaliate to any further Israeli airstrikes.

I saw this chart on the Economist not too long ago.  Interesting that the nations are willing to cede positive characteristics to other countries except compassion - every country thinks they are the most compassionate.

Definitely.  Trojans might have slight objections to the Greek's self-assessment of trustworthiness.  Smile

"Were".
And, then, Berlusconi appeared...

And got re-elected.

And got re-elected again. Unhappy
Even I, who listens to Litfiba, Le Orme or Sadist, reads Umberto Eco or fumetti by Hugo Pratt or Gipi, watches movies by Fellini, Mario Bava or Pasolini, went disappointed by the evolution of Italian society.
