By far, Milliontown. Some of the best Prog in the new millenium to me and a must have.

I can't vote since I've never listened to Milliontown but I came across Experiments in mass appeal and I really didn't like it:not my cup of tea!

Very tough choice. Neither album is mind blowing but they're still both good. Though I don't know it so well, I'm gonna go with the first, because of the fantastic opening and closing tracks. The only real earth shattering song on Mass Appeal is Dear Dead Days (though it is very awesome)

I just saw Frost* at RoSfest in Glenside Pa on May 2nd.  What a great live band.  They were very humorous, but when it was time to play, just rocked out.  Nick D'Virgilio was outstanding given that he only had a couple rehersals before the show.  He also had his drumkit sideways stage left, which was a nice change in perspective for the audience.  They played selections from both albums and it was all very well played.  Very entertaining band and highly recommended.

Oh and by the way, I chose Milliontown.

Milliontown is a phenomenal piece of work.  A few months ago, I decided that I would give all the new prog records I received the proper respect, by devoting all my attention to the music on my first listen.  And around the time I started being so scrutinizing and attentive to my music was the first time I heard of Frost*.  My friend sent me the .mp3s of Milliontown, and it was one of the first albums I listened to with this new attitude.  And I was blown away.  The title track especially left me, eyes closed, feeling the sort of emotions I usually associate with nostalgia, songs that remind me of my childhood.  The whole thing just had this effect on me, and, while Experiments in Mass Appeal was also brilliant, I think Frost* will have a hard time topping that first release.

How very spooky.  I was going to pose this question in a poll myself today!!  You beat me to it LOL.

I recently got Milliontown, and it's brilliant.  I really like all the songs but Hyperventilate and Black Light Machine are just amazing.  The 26 minute epic title track is great too.  Pablo, this one is well worth checking out.  I'd recommend you to try the stream track off Milliontown on PA; if you like that one go for the album as it's one of the best on it.

I haven't heard EIMA yet so I can't vote.

Wow, just noticed this was my 1000th post on PA!  I really need to get a life.....LOL.

I now have both albums and I much prefer Milliontown.

Milliontown - superb debut, one of the most modern symphonic problems I've heard. A really great album and right up my street - 4.5 stars.

EiMA - totally different, a very good album but much less of a symphonic sound than the first, not as captivating for me. 3.75 stars nevertheless.

You're very spot on (once again) with these ratings for the albums. And also look at the polls score (16-7 !)
But now look at the averages on PA ...Confused  In case you don't want to search for it : 3,60 for Milliontown (101 ratings) and 4,06 for Experiments (60 ratings).

The only way one can explain this is that Milliontown have far more ratings and usually that makes the average go down. But other than that, it's pretty strange, isn't it ?
