Hello Smile
Dunno if our recordings "meet commercial sound quality as found on average CDs released by commercial record companies", but since it's all DIY, I assume this forum is the designated place to introduce ourselves ...
So we are Laudanum Forest, a belgian pop-progrock band. We have about 30 "decently" recorded tracks. Just uploaded a bunch of them on www.myspace.com/laudanumspace to give you a clear image.

We're also on

And our own website: www.laudanumforest.com

Thanks Big smile

Not bad!  I encourage others to check out "Tonsil Flora," which has excellent synthesizer over piano.  Straight up prog rock (especially that ending).

"Snail" is also really cool!

I also felt the sound quality is just fine (of course, others are more particular when it comes to that sort of the thing I've learned).

Thanks very much Epignosis! I guess when it comes to straight up progrock, these are the pieces I'd recommend:

Tonsil Flora, as you pointed out, and Checkpoint Incarnation.
The instrumental parts (second halfs) of Not Sure and The Asylum.
Our version of Rockstar (verses in 9/8, chorus in 7/8, up tempo second half of the track).

And I just uploaded "Do You Know Me" on www.myspace.com/laudanumspace , a piano song with a progressive ending.

cheers :)

New song on www.myspace.com/laudanumspace: Lost on the Way Home, with a long guitar- + synthsolo outro.
