A french band from Lille, here's their myspace bio, not sure if they fit PA or not:
OUTRE MESURE is the name of a French band from the city of Lille, made of Marc DOSIERE (Trumpet & Flugelhorn), Jérôme ROSELE (Tenor saxophone), Jean-Louis MORAIS (Guitar), Olivier VERHAEGHE (Bass) and Charles DUYTSCHAEVER (Drums). Their music is a kind of electric free-jazz, although being well-constructed, getting close to Progressive rock and New Musics. No doubt HENRY COW, SOFT MACHINE and Frank ZAPPA were main influences for the quintet. Published on the Great Winds label, "Abacadae" (2009) resferst to a musical structure made of several themes, one being repeated. That's the case for the rondo. (Musearecords.com) http://www.myspace.com/outremesure I'd suggest, if they are indeed appropriate for PA, JRF or Avant |

Interesting band ,mixture of Free Form and Avant Jazz, reminding me European musicians like Manfred Schoof or Kenny Wheeler, we have recently opened the JRF/NJ field to similar artists, where Outre Mesure would be in good neighborhood.
