I am considering participation at the St. Malo concert in France, but I don't like the idea of it being part of a festival - what if that means there's going to be only a short show? But the biggest problem is that Tortoise isn't listed on the festival's line-up page: http://www.laroutedurock.com/pages/ete_e.htm#lineup

I hadn't checked them out before so I don't know how it compares to their other albums but I'm liking it. Kinda chill. Do they have a defining must-listen album I should check out next?

wooo! ive been listening to a lot of tortoise lately definitely will check this out.

@VidpX14,  probably TNT although Millions Now Living is probably at the same level. however, Tortoise is pretty easy to understand, nothing too challenging and once you've heard one album you kinda get the vibe.

their cover art has always been terrible though.

Since I've seen them in December, I can recommend them enough. They make an incredible prog show, with amazing passion and musicianship (they change instruments, everybody gets to play everything), and also a great rocking sound (but with a lot of jazz in it). GO SEE THEM!

Feb 11 2010 8:00P
Headliners Louisville, Kentucky
Feb 12 2010 8:00P
Exit Inn Nashville, Tennessee
Feb 13 2010 8:00P
Bottletree Birmingham, Alabama
Feb 14 2010 8:00P
The Earl Atlanta, Georgia
Feb 15 2010 8:00P
Catís Cradle Carrboro, North Carolina
Feb 16 2010 8:00P
Black Cat Washington DC, Washington DC
Feb 17 2010 8:00P
Mr Smalls Theatre Millvale, Pennsylvania
Feb 18 2010 8:00P
Leeís Palace Toronto, Ontario
Feb 19 2010 8:00P
The Bling Pig Ann Arbor, Michigan
Feb 20 2010 8:00P
The Lincoln Chicago, Illinois

I'm disappointed I missed them when they hit San Francisisco over summer. The setlist was awesome. I know there was a reason I didn't go...
