I am considering participation at the St. Malo concert in France, but I don't like the idea of it being part of a festival - what if that means there's going to be only a short show? But the biggest problem is that Tortoise isn't listed on the festival's line-up page: http://www.laroutedurock.com/pages/ete_e.htm#lineup

I hadn't checked them out before so I don't know how it compares to their other albums but I'm liking it. Kinda chill. Do they have a defining must-listen album I should check out next?

wooo! ive been listening to a lot of tortoise lately definitely will check this out.

@VidpX14,  probably TNT although Millions Now Living is probably at the same level. however, Tortoise is pretty easy to understand, nothing too challenging and once you've heard one album you kinda get the vibe.

their cover art has always been terrible though.

Since I've seen them in December, I can recommend them enough. They make an incredible prog show, with amazing passion and musicianship (they change instruments, everybody gets to play everything), and also a great rocking sound (but with a lot of jazz in it). GO SEE THEM!

I'm disappointed I missed them when they hit San Francisisco over summer. The setlist was awesome. I know there was a reason I didn't go...
