I'm quite disappointed that I won't be seeing POS and Beardfish, but I'm definitely still going. I was sold at Dream Theater.
(Not to mention Queensryche will be co-headlining the show that I'm seeing.)
I'm sure Scale The Summit and Big Elf will do fine.

P.S. How much money would loyal fans have to raise / cough up to get them on tour again?

I am bummed.  I was going to make the trip to see Beardfish and PoS, since I have already seen Dream Theater 3x.

Now, I am not going for sure.

Already have my tickets and this is a big disappointment....I actually like Bigelf alot and their sound really seems like summer fun, even if it's a little more derivative than Beardfish and for certain PoS. I don't know Scale the Summit so I'll have to go sample a bit.

PoS and Beardfish were actually the reason I was going, I saw DT in the Kevin Moore era, and seeing them now was just a pleasant icing for the main helping. Now it's all bands that I'll probably enjoy but could have taken or left.

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

MP does his best to support the bands he enjoys. The guy is a hero, its not his fault the World economy has collapsed.

Please buy CDs from the bands you like. That way, they'll be around when the World pulls out of the current slump!

This sucks a lot.  I have been looking forward to seeing POS greatly for a long time.  I hope the label ends up ok.  Maybe all the illegal downloading has something to do with it?

Well I'm offically not going now.

With POS out the guy I was going with is only left with one band that he wants to see (and I as well) so we decided its best to save the money.

So close.

yeah...this sucks.  not really worth the money anymore.  the one bigelf song i heard, madhatter, just sounds like black sabbath playing pink floyd.  i spose i'm gonna listen to these two bands and hope for the best. =( so disappointed.

Guys, when I heard the news, I almost jumped for joy. Scale the Summit is IMO loads better than beardfish and pos put together. They're probably one of the most talented instrumental bands out today..give them a shot, seriously.

Unfortunately bankruptcy for SPV will have far, far reaching effects. It's the parent company of Inside Out, things are going to  change in the world of prog.
They are not the first label/distributor to go under, it's almost a weekly occurence now, the industry has become so numbed that they've stopped holding wakes or even shaking their heads, but they are one of the bigger boys. Hopefully something can be salvaged.

For PoS and BF,  these kind of trips and tours are part of the good side of label support, but also when it goes belly up you are having the brakes applied to you whithout being able to do anything about it.

It's bum news all round really. Unhappy

I am a huge POS fan and was very excited to finally get to see them live.  And I bought both Sleeping in Traffic albums just because I knew I was going to see Beardfish live.  Now I'm bummed out.  This also makes a POS US tour in the near future look very unlikely.  If their new album gets delayed I'm going to be very upset.

Idk...I heard some Big Elf and it wasn't that good. Though I suppose I shouldn't judge after hearing so little. And I've never heard of theother band but the description given doen't sound all that appealing to me.

And you're right. I really had no aspirations to see Beardfish...but POS...Cry
