I don't really know where to put this as I consider some of these releases to be progressive and others not at all...

Ihsahn is one of my favorite black metal musicians of all time, if not the favorite. He has a ridiculously impressive discography. Which (studio) album of his creation is your favorite? Listed by chronology... I don't know if this is truly every album he has ever been on so I'm sorry if I am missing some.

Jake

Oh my, this is impossible. Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk was my initial thought, so I'll go with that...but I love all Emperor's (and Ihsahn's) albums, especially Prometheus. Clap

Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk beyond any shadow of doubt. All the rest (except maybe Zyklon) are runners-up.
What?

It was hard not to chose their split with Enslaved.  Early Emperor is the best.  I don't like solo Ihsahn.

His solo work is almost too traditional prog metal for me, though I like the songs with Garm and Mickael Ackerfedt.

I'm in the toss up between Anthems at Welkin, and the split with Enslaved AKA (Hordanes land)

God damn, it's too hard to chose between Lost in Reverie and Anthems... I'm about ready to flip a coin at this point!

Yeah, sorry, I forgot about that one... I replaced a stupid split that was only rehashed songs and remixes for it.
