^ It seems it's worth to ask another admin.

^ And who can that be ? Keishiro ?
I wonder if Andy wouldn't think of doing it in the first place.

This
http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=41447
appears to be just a reissue of this
http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=5351

The more recent has only 1 review (exactly duplicated from the one on the other album) so it's easy to get rid of it right away...I'll just wait to your approval and then forward it to Admins

^ José, I think you're right.

By the way, it looks more like a compilation than a studio album. I'm not a Zappa specialist though.

^ I've just updated info (on the one to keep) and among several "compiled" tracks there are a couple of unreleased ones which may justify the classification as Studio, take a look if you wish and tell me your opinion.
I'll contact the sole reviewer, then, to get his permission.
Thanks

José, both reviews are identical so I think the "sole reviewer's" permission is not necessary.

^ I noticed that, just a matter of courtesy, you see - people can be so itchy around here.
But I value your experience and take it into account on future issues.
This time since I asked I'll have to wait out of respect for our pal reviewer.

One of those peculiar cases ... I need some help
Wouldn't say it's a duplicate but seems to me to be ill classified as compilation

Original album here (read my note under releases details)

Thanks

^ Some Google search:

"In February 2008, it was announced on Big Big Train's BlogSpot that English Boy Wonders was going to be re-recorded and partially re-mixed" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_Boy_Wonders)

"This is the 2008 'director's-cut' re-issue of English Boy Wonders. The album was originally released in 1997 in an incomplete state as the band ran out of money to finish the recordings. For the 2008 re-issue, the album was properly completed, much of the music was re-recorded and the CD was entirely remixed from the master tapes." (https://bigbigtrain.bandcamp.com/album/english-boy-wonders-2008-re-issue).

Looks like 2008 remake is OK in Compilations. It's quite different record. I think no need to combine these 2 entries in one.

Track list of 2008 edition on original album page is not necessary in my opinion, I propose to delete it.
I would only mention in "Releases info" that in 2008 the album was remixed, partly re-recorded and issued on CD.

^ OK, don't want to be a boring ass but from the top of my head I remember a similar situation with Banco that got resolved differently

Only raise the question for the sake of consistency (I'm a slow learner, I know, bear with me Eugene)

^ José, in case of Banco I see no contradiction - in 1991 they completely re-recorded their debut album (and, by the way, "Darwin!" too). These re-recorded versions are not mixes of old and new performances so they are in Studio albums.
1991 versions of "BMS" and "Darwin!" were released separately while 2CD set Da qui messere si domina la valle containing both records is in Compilations. Smile

Some other examples of such "strange" studio albums in PA database:

This one (filed as compilation)

http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=5503

Is referenced all around as the American version of this one (filed as studio)

http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=5504

In fact they share a total of 8 tracks, and each has its own additional 4 different tracks.

Check here

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Magnificent_Moodies
https://www.discogs.com/The-Moody-Blues-Go-Now-Moody-Blues-1/master/697476

It's not a full duplication, alright, but even so considered it couldn't be deleted on account of reviews.

Do you think any correction is needed here ?

^ I think the only helpful corrections would be to point out that "Go Now" is a US version of "The Magnificent Moodies" and add some reissues info to both albums.

^ Hm, like the Beatles early US albums (but they had different track lists). Confused

Maybe ask XOver team's opinion.

^ Sorry, I've missed this point.
If so let's leave US edition in Compilations. It will be a kind of "Meet the Moodies".
