Good idea, let's sort out a New Year get-together. I'll check with my social secretary.

Was great to see you and Chris, Lee. Let's do it again in the new year with all on board hopefully. That was a nice curry too!
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

Thanks Chris and Andy for a fab Prog' Curry last Friday. Hope to see you and other Shedders in February. Pity you couldn't make it Alan.

Do 'The Stanley' otherwise I'll thrash you with some rhubarb.

Lee!!! welcome back mate.
I'm still in the City, despite many attempts by my employer to get rid of me.

Hi Alan.

It's great to hear from you. How are things? I hope that you are keeping well

I didn't realise that I had been away for so long. I await news of the next Prog' Curry/Booze up....If they still happen.

We've not had a prog curry for a while now, the last one was just me and Chris (syzygy), I keep thinking it's about time we had another one but never quite get round to it. As you probably know Sigod is in the US now but Jim and Andy are still around here. I'll see what I can sort out.

Excellent. I'll keep my thingies peeled.

Do 'The Stanley' otherwise I'll thrash you with some rhubarb.

No I understand too, apparently M@x had potentially serious online threats.  Just how it is right now.

What a pain in the posterior. I was reading a thread about it (Captcha)

I don't like having to use it either.I can understand people getting annoyed about it.I hope that I don't sound patronising.

Thanks David.
Yes and no. The job and the commute are exhausting. Most people my age
who worked in 'The City' have moved elsewhere to work. It's a young person's game....

reCaptcha; Access permissions etc.? The 'How many buildings can you see in this picture' thing...

Hi David,

How are things with you?

It's been such a long time since I've visited PAs.

Life has been so hectic over the last 4 years that I haven't had time to blink.
I was made redundant from my job of over 30 years and the job that I'm now in is so exhausting it takes me nearly the whole weekend to recover and then it's back onto the treadmill...

I was terribly scared of spiders when I was a boy.   Later I learned how crucial they are to controlling flying bugs... and that real cobwebs are mostly dust.

All the best sheds have cobwebs (my son won't even go in mine because he's scared of spiders). They just need a bit of a sweep now and then, which is why I posted.

Quite a few good prog releases at the moment, I can recommend -
Valdez - This (our old friend Mr Godfrey releases a cracker)
Damanek - On Track
The Tangent - The Slow Rust of Forgotten Machinery

plus new releases from Lifesigns and I Am The Manic Whale still to come!

Blimey it's been a long time.

Just had a phone call from "BT Technical Department".

"Hello sir, I'm Kevin from BT Technical Department, we've noticed you appear to have a virus on your computer".

"I'm not a BT customer"

"We know, we monitor other service providers as well".

"Really, which one am I with then?"

"Do you have a computer sir?"

"What do you mean "do I have a computer?", you just told me you'd detected a virus on my computer!. I work in IT Support, do you really want to continue this conversation?"

"F*** off"

Get a proper job Kevin. You knobhead.

PS - I suspect Kevin may not have been his real name.
