This is disincluding the Dollars Trilogy & just the '66 film alone. I've had a recent debate about this where i was defending Once Upon a Time. I think as a whole it's not only more intense but much more reflective of the characters. I also think Fonda's performance is probably the best villain ever in cinema.

And Claudia Cardinale was in it, which is always nice.

Still, for me no western was as impressive as The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. All three main characters (Clint Eastwood, Lee van Cleef and Eli Wallach) were in peak form. Wonderful tension, music, great dialogues.

What a double bill this would be at a theater. Coin flip. Both are great movies.

Both are great and what do you think of A fistful of dynamite(my all time favourite film, seen 28 times)?James Coburn and Rod Steiger at their best,a great score by Ennio Morricone, well written and powerful.Another suggestion Sergio Sollima's Colorado with Lee Van Cleef and Tomas Milian.
