Title says it all. I've been really into these guys lately, especially their debut album Out of Myself, and I would love to hear more of their style of metal-tinged progressive rock. Any and all suggestions are welcomed. Go!

Carptree may lack the metal tinge of Riverside, but their application of melody and lyric is reminiscent of Riverside's "middle" less-heavy less-metal style.

Maybe you got a point there. I will listen again to both bands one after the other I loved this 2 bands, maybe because the same emotional feel present in the lyric and melody...

LastFM says Indukti, Quidam, Porcupine Tree and Satellite as 'very high' or 'super' similarity to Riverside

I'll throw in a shout for Pure Reason Revolution

I have recently heard Quidam's excellent live album, The Fifth Season, and have been surprised by the similarities of their sound with Riverside's (though the latter are undoubtedly harder-edged). The vocals in particular reminded me a lot of Mariusz Duda's.

I heard a couple of songs by Votum on the Rogues Gallery a while ago.  They are also from Poland and nonetheless, they reminded me of Riverside.

You could try The Aurora Project. Their debut is also in between atmospheric prog and metal just like Riverside. I will check out their latest shortly, I heard it's just as great.

Yeah, I have to echo the Indukti and Osada Vida. There is something about those Polish bands.

More on the acoustic side...but you might like LUNATIC SOUL

It has Riverside's vocalist and keyboard player, as well as members from Indukti and Quidam

Puis je croise les doigts
Pour empêcher
Les souvenirs de fuir.
