Beatles = Bathtime Fun for Children

Ok, so I've never been a huge fan of the Beatles, though they've been growing on me.

My daughter is just about two and I bath time is Daddy time.  Many of her bath time toys have their own song, and frankly, I'm struck by the number of times the Beatles appear during the bath time juke box.

Here are some of her bath toys (and accompanying lyrics):

I am you and you are she and we are they and we're all here together,
Sitting in the bathtub having lots of fun see how they run, I'm crying.
This is the bathtub . . .
You are the baby . . . woo
I am the Walrus . . . coo coo ka choo. 

And that's right, if you ask her what the Walrus says, she totally answers coo coo ka choo


Also on the bathtub line up is Yellow Submarine (original lyrics) and Octopus' Garden (also original lyrics).

As I mentioned, I was surprised at how many times the Beatles appeared in the bathtub.

Does anyone else know of any Beatles songs for the bath tub?

And a related question, I need a song for a turtle and an albatross?  Any ideas?

I don't know about bath time, but I teach ESL to kids and use more and more Beatles songs to do so 

Maybe not the Beatles, but maybe Syd Barrett's "Terrapin"? note: terrapin are a type of turtle.

A lot of their stuff has rhymes that would appeal to little kids. Ob-La-Di Ob-la-da would be pretty good. Maybe Maxwell's Silver Hammer, but that might be pushing the envelope for Tori (how old is she now? two??). More realistically speaking, Good Day Sunshine would be a good one.

Not a Beatles song, but we were able to get the kids into the tub by singing Splish Splash.  May have gotten that idea from Sesame Street.

there's nothing in world like daddy time...  a princess of a young lady...and take the Beatles with that.  I have to admit.. my weary jaded soul warmed appreciably reading your post Roland.  As i said.. great stuff. Enjoyed your post. 

Oh, and to the topic starter . . . not to nitpick, but the Walrus doesn't go ''Coo Coo Ka Choo", he goes, "Goo Goo G'joob". 

My kids copped Yellow sub and Octopus's Garden and Birthday which gets played every birthday ( I was just reminded when I asked ) Help was mentioned but when I first asked what were the standouts I heard Heaps. My kids for some strange reason practically know the whole Discography

Thank you Mickey, I had some what of a jaded heart as well until Tori was born.  I think I've smiled more over the the past two years than I had in the twenty years before that.  I'm thirty-seven and I feel like a kid again. 

Ok, I'll have to get a (modest) bath time picture to post in the forum.  Give me a couple of days and I'll post a picture of her.
