Another prog band from Québec. It's called Aut' Chose, I'd say they're Heavy or maybe Crossover. Really similar to Vos Voisins, which is also from Québec, and already here.

Here's their bio on ProgQuébec: http://www.progquebec.com/autchose.html

Here you can listen to their two of their studio albums:
- Prends une chance avec moé

- Une nuit comme une autre
Les mains, les pieds balancés
Sur tant de mers, tant de planchers,
Un marin mort,
Il dormira

- Paul Éluard

-"Prends une chance avec moé"?
Quebec accent at its harshest! LOL

One of the few Quebec bands quoted in an old book I have, just after Harmonium and Beau Dommage.
They rock.

Yes they do! Thumbs Up What about their lyrics, you must find them hard to understand (?) Tongue
Tu m'traînes le jour, tu m'triches la nuite
J'lis des romans d'amour, tout seul dans mon lite
J'taime à planche, j't'aime su' ma peau
Tes mains su' mes hanches, tes oeufs dans mon cerveau
Quand t'es pas là.... Mes toasts brûlent!

Belle poésie, n'est-ce pas? Wink

Ouais, leur humour me fait un peu penser à Zappa, entre autres.
Pour la compréhension, j'étais perdu jusqu'aux "oeufs dans mon cerveau". Duraille, l'accent des cousins.

well from the two streaming cuts it's hard to say-- certainly some prog on Une nuit comme une autre but less so overall.. maybe Crossover, maybe not, could really use a whole album

All you need is to click the individual tracks to listen to them and all of them are available on Gabriel's page.... both albums

crossover
let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

i used to have one of the LPs, and they just sounded like quebec rockers with druggy street poetry.
"Here I am talking to some of the smartest people in the world and I didn't even notice,” Lieutenant Columbo, episode The Bye-Bye Sky-High I.Q. Murder Case.
