The new BBT album is coming in December and they've made the title track available for free download in advance (all 22 minutes of i!.)

Anyone else heard it yet? It's an extraordinary piece of music with a phenomenal keyboard solo from Jem Godfrey on it.

If you haven't downloaded it,worth checking out while it's online: www.bigbigtrain.com . The website says it's available free for a limited time only (it doesn't say how long for though.)

It (The Underfall Yard) is very good. I think that's the track Francis Dunnery and Jem Godfrey are playing on.

There is also another track from the new album, streamed on their site....Winchester Diver, which is also very good. Will definitely have to purchase it.

Was tempted to download this, as I'm curious about the band and what better way to introduce myself to them than with a 23-minute epic.  But then I read this on their website " 'The Underfall Yard' is their emotionally charged masterpiece, packed with dramatic, anthemic passages and heart stopping moments."  I prefer my heart to keep beating thanks.  Tongue

I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

The Winchester Diver track is really beautiful. This could prove be a very good album based on the 30 minutes I've heard.

I very much enjoy this new song and on that basis I pre-ordered the album (in a bundle with Gathering Speed and English Boy Wonders - quite a bargain with that price, even considering that it's coming from the UK to the USA).

Anyone has great expectations with latest Big Big Train album The underfall yard, that will be released in early december this year???? I pre order it from their official site who has some very intristing options now on sales category. I can't wait to have the CD in digipak format. What about anyone from here??? BTw, very underrated band in prog circles.

Like I said above, I highly anticipate it based on that track they released.
I also pre-ordered the album (in a bundle with Gathering Speed and English Boy Wonders)

It's great to read all the above messages. I've been a fan for years and probably as frustrated as the band by the lack of interest.  The Underfall Yard is truly a great album.  I'd recommend all their albums but best check them out first using the other free downloads from http://www.bigbigtrain.comWink

You can also hear many of their songs on the web site and myspace pages linked from the web page.

Besides Marbles, quite possibly the best CD in the last 10 years.

And because of The Underfall Yard, I've purchased all but the debut. Everything is top notch, but this latest disc is something special. Not a weak track and a 5 star review is forthcoming.
