I kinda like it.
Most of The Flower Kings album covers are pretty bland and ugly. The only one that I like is Paradox Hotel. (I've never listened to any full albums by them, though. This is just from surfing around PA.) [/QUOTE]
I don't know, I think Retropolis' art is pretty neat. And I actually kind of like Glossolalia's cover... sort of surreal and Dali-esque, in my opinion.

Chimera - s/t The little picture in the left upper corner was the intended cover for the aborted late 1980s release of this somewhat over-hyped piece of psychedelia/acid folk - they shoud have stuck with it! The album features pink floyd's nick mason and richard wright. It was recorded 1969/70. The album in the picture is a limited vinyl-only release form 2002.

Love Beach! Do you think EL&P are trying to look like the Bee Gee's?

Lars: Hey guys, I'd like you to meet Andres Serrano, the creator of such masterpieces as "Piss Christ", he's designing our album cover.
James: So what is it going to be?
Andres: Well, I'm gonna take some bovine blood...
James: Blood? Awesome. That's totally metal. Go on.
Andres: Then I'm gonna mix it with my own semen, and then squish the liquids between two sheets of plexiglass and take a picture of it.
James: ...
Lars: BRILLIANT!
No seriously, that's exactly what it is. Why do you think they called it Load? Edited by boo boo - May 21 2010 at 15:11 |
