Apparently...it's #3 already for this year.

What's so good about it?

Edit: Nevermind...I see there are several reviews (and not just ratings only).  I suppose I should read those first before asking here.  Embarrassed

It's definitely not quite as good as Colors, but to be honest not too much is. This is probably my second favorite BtBaM album, though.

I'm listening to it for the first time after just grabbing the deluxe edition.  I've already heard the first 2 songs (I'm on Obfuscation now).  Solid record thus far, and I already watched the dvd.

At the moment I think it's the band's worst excluding their s/t. I need more listens obviously, but a lot of the heavy parts seem so-so at the moment. It's still great though. I expect my opinion of it to keep growing in favor.

Eh, it's definitely better than The Silent Circus too. I can't listen to that whole album anymore.

I like the Silent Circus more than Alaska.

And you're so normal Mr. Bedlam is the best TMV album.

When have I ever said that? My position has been the same since 2005. Man you're so weird. But I still love you.

I guess I just made that up. I forgot you were a FTM believer like me. Anyway I love you for our differences as much as anything <3.

Album of the year for me, which says a lot considering what awesome stuff came out this year
Swim to the Moon might be their best song

also for TMV I can't decide between Frances and De-loused...the former has an atmosphere I have yet to hear be matched, but the latter just goes down so smoooooooooth

No seriously, I'm sick of everyone saying that Colors is their best work. They are a band that keeps improving, and I'm a firm believer in this little table:

TGM >>> Colors >>> Alaska >>> TSC >>> s/t
R.I.P. Chuck. You will be sorely missed by the entire metal world.

I bought it today.

Listened to the first three tracks in the car.

Looks like it could use another one star review.

I personally couldn't give it more than 2, but that's because I realize that some other people actually may find value in it, as much as I can't.
