I'm not after crediblity where it's not due.But as late I've really enjoyed writing reviews lately for some reason and if I continued with this energy and did a fair amount would my reviews a good enough standard to be considered a prog reviewer in the distant future?
I don't really mind either way really,just curious. Edited by mrcozdude - October 29 2009 at 22:28 |

Coming from a non-reviewer: From what I've read, yes, absolutely -- well-written and informative reviews.

to be honest, I think you need to give a little more in the reviews; i.e. your Doors review is rather good but it reads more like a note you'd leave for someone rather than taking the time to really gather your thoughts-- I think you have much to offer (truly) but you have to let it out, expand on things a bit, and tell us why a given album is good or important
good luck to you, I hope you succeed |

thanks for the advice. My doors one was a very early one.I'm embarrassed about those early ones such as the primus, jethro tull & naked city ones.I must rewrite them. But your advice can certainly apply to my newer ones as well. |

Yup, I think there are definitely a few you need to edit as mentioned, but your newer ones are really good! If you clean up on some of the earlier ones and continue writing reviews I'm sure you could become a prog reviewer.

Have fun. I've been home with the flu so I have a ton of work to do myself. Isn't it funny how we find enjoyment from writing hundreds of reviews on albums, yet we dread the day when we have to do a paper in school? ![]() |

Hehe, some of my old reviews are quite disappointing. It's hard to edit them, it would be more like rewriting it all.

IMHO it's worth to think before writing 30.000 words essay whether someone we'll read it.

Unfortunately it has to be that long to get a grade. It's split into two parts 1500 each.
It's far to much considering the topic.Oh well I suppose it is a degree course. |

Oh, you mean 3.000 words, I was afraid of 30.000 :-D We have to write just 500 words essay about "my experience with learning English language", then about 50 lines of poem and then thoroughly describe book "Red Badge of Courage", about which I never heard, but in USA it seems like well known book. Our teacher Brad Vice (Alabama) read it when he was young. |

The Weather Report s/t review and those from Miles Davis, which are the ones I read, are indeed very, very good. Keep that type/consistency of writing and it'll be just a matter of time, I suppose. I would work on newer reviewers rather than editing your past ones first. |
