I'm deeply sorry for another DT poll, but the old one was locked and lacked a couple of the latest releases anyway.

So, the question is plain and simple, which DT live album you enjoy the most and why? I'll answer this a bit later, I've spent the past week listening to all the mentioned albums except Live at the Marquee, which I'll get done this weekend I hope.

And also, if you have any particularly enjoyable official bootlegs by YtseJam Records, this is the place to recommend them. That's pretty much what the "other" stands for.

It's a tossup between Score and Scenes From New York for me. No vote.

I don't like live albums. I like going to concerts or listening to a studio album at home. At most I'd watch a live concert-DVD...

The better one here is the Marquee one... because is older and has more value because of LaBrie singing some songs that were originally sung by Dominici. That's the only reason I find it more interesting. As a collector's piece.

I like Score for the orchestral arrangements.

Can't  vote - I only listened Scenes..., read plenty of good reviews and was disappointed. No time or wish to listen to other DT live albums. There are plenty of great music all around :)

Live at the Marquee for the setlist and LaBrie's ability to actually sing.

Live Scenes..., best set list by far and I love the sound of Myung bass on that album.

I'm rather thinking about the DVD's, because those are the ones I know (though they are similar, though not quiet the same). The one I've enjoyed the most is Live at Budokan. That's the set-list I've liked the most, and LaBrie's singing is not so annoying.

There's the anniversary concert of When Dream and Day Unite (named When Dream and Day Reunite) which has all the original songs sung by LaBrie. I also know that Score includes Afterlife and Live at Budokan includes Only a Matter of Time.

Score is my choice. LaBrie is on fire compared to all the other ones (except Marquee, which suffers from the shortness of the song list) and while Live Scenes might have a bit better set list, I prefer the overall performance and sound of Score.

Once in a LiveTime has some absolutely horrific vocal parts, they really had a lot of guts to put the album out with no studio edits.

I feel that Live Scenes from New York is their peak... great vibe, good arrangements, great set list, I enjoy that 3 cd's more than any of the other choices... but, I have to say that maybe for a newbie who don't know DT is better to they to pick Score, there everything sounds perfect -even Labrie-, and When Dream and Day Reunite is also great... but, I feel they were more excited on Scenes... they really project a lot of energy in that album... so... my vote for Live Scenes...

I also like to say that they Once in a LIVEtime is good... I know that Labrie really screw up everything, but there's something on the mood that I like and get very excited of... the problem is that I don't what it is... maybe because all of the Awake and Falling into Infinity songs that have in the setlist... but I'm not sure...

I have all of those. Score is my favourite. Their performance is particularly good in that set. The orchestra adds a lot of atmosphere to the sound, especially in tracks like Octavarium, Sacrificed Sons, and the Six Degrees suite. The Chaos in Motion DVD is my runner up.

Live at the Marquee is underrated. It has a short set list, but you get to hear Labrie sing Dominici songs, and its early DT, so you get to hear them during the Images and Words era, with Kevin Moore. The performances are very good, and Labrie is fine. He isn't too nasal here.

Once In A Livetime- Whoa. He really does lose his voice on this one. Try listening to Take The Time on here. Apparently, this was recorded at the point where Portnoy wanted to break up the band, and it kind of shows. But there are some great performances on here, though. Petrucci and Sherinian's solos are great.

Scenes From New York- Fantastic. One of the best. Awesome set list, energetic, passionate performances.

Live At Budokan- Very good, also. I love the Train Of Thought album, so I'm glad this one has loads of tracks from that album's tour.

Score- My favourite. Everything sounds perfect. This is the one I'd recommend first to people.

Chaos in Motion- I have the DVD of this one, not the CD/DVD edition, but the Systematic Chaos songs sound very good live, and everyone is on top form. Good stuff.

Funny, I miss this... Labrie almost re-record all his tracks in the studio to re-arrange the album... according to Mike Portnoy Live at the Marquee would be named "Live at the Marquee and James live at Bear Track Studios"... LOL

^Is that so? 'Live' at the Marquee is overdubbed? So the band are recorded live, but Labrie did his parts again in the studio? Hadn't heard about that.

It came down to Live At Budokan or Score.
Budokan won out in the end.

Easy for me, "Score" by a landslide.  It's one of the seminal albums that made me switch my preferred musical genre from Electronica to Prog.

yeah... in their official biography Lifting Shadows, that's the true story... but is the only time when something was overdubbed in DT career... well, the first song at the Budokan show had to be re-arranged because the keyboard sound was lost... for some strange reason, and only that song... so... there you go...
