Ok, I had two requests for a King Crimson poll so here it is.  While they've never been my favorite band, I'm curious enough to hear what you all think their best songs are.

This is going to be another two phase poll, phase one is the nomination phase.  Feel free to nominate your ten favorite King Crimson songs.  I'll leave this up for a few weeks then tally up the nominations.  Once the nominations are counted, the top nominated songs will be placed into an actual for voting.  Again, please keep your lists to ten nominations.

Multiple part songs will be counted in completion as long as they're on the same album.  For instance, "The Power to Believe" counts as one song for the purpose of this poll.  Lark's Tongue Part I and II count as one song as well but Lark's Tongue III counts as it's own song.

I'll learn a bit from this one as King Crimson is one of those bands that I don't appreciate as much as most.  As such, I'll be paying attention to the winners more than in other polls.

I will throw a couple of my own nominations:

Red
The Power to Believe
Dinosaur
The Court of the Crimson King

Enjoy,

Waiting Man
The Sheltering Sky
The Court Of The Crimson King
Islands
Larks' Tongues in Aspic part 1
The Talking Drum
Cirkus
Trio
Walking on Air
Elektrik

Those are my choices assuming I get to pick 10. As there are far to many superb tracks to pick from I did my best to limit myself to one per album to add some variety to the mix.
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal.

21st Century Schizoid Man
Larks' Tongues in Aspic (1 & 2)
Discipline
Pictures of a City
Islands
Elektrik
Red
Trio
I Talk to the Wind
The Sheltering Sky

No real order, though 21st Century Schizoid Man and Larks' Tongues in Aspic are ahead of the others.

Yeah, we'll go ten again.  I was going to leave it uncapped this time but if people are asking that means that I should probably set some limit before Pablo lists all of Islands, Starless and Red . . .LOL

KingCrimson's list counts as is since he posted before a limit was set, we'll go with ten from here on out.

Unrelated to all of this, I had a random thought . . . I need to occasionally change the background of my avatar.  You know, maybe have the Catfish Man in front of the Eiffel Tower one day, the Swiss Alps the next, start putting wish you were here notes on the top of it.  On a different note, I think it's TopofSM that has the "Wish you had Beer" picture in his signature, I find that extremely clever.

And now, back to our regularly scheduled King Crimson nominations.

Thank you.

I wish I had more KC to make a list, alas I've spent my monies on more of the modern stuff. However, I own ITCOCK, PTB, and COL (horrible that one IMO). But I plan on getting LTIA and Red as soon as I can.

While I haven't gotten around to buying Vroom Vroom yet, I liked a clip of Thrak live more than anything else I've heard from KC.

Conor Fynes on Miley Cyrus:
"Im suprised progheads insult her... Wasn't she that woman that did guest vocals on 'Coil' from Opeth's Watershed?"

pictures of a city
cadence and cascade
cat food
in the wake of poseidon
lizard
lady of the dancing water
cirkus

Some quality tunes there. I don't find ITCOTCK, Islands, Red or Starless overly strong albums though

Only 2 from me, cos these are the only two I've got into so far:

Epitaph
The Court of the Crimson King
