I dislike Warchild... I prefer Minstrel by far. If we included this album, I'd add Baker St. Muse, Minstrel In The Gallery, Black Satin Dancer and One White Duck

Interesting. I rated My God and Wind up as 2 of the weakest songs of 1971. I think there's about 20 songs. Lets see. I'll highlight the ones I really like in bold and the ones i quite like in red. The rest are ok. In no particular order

1-up the pool
2-dr bogenbroom
3-for later
4-wondring again
5-aqualung
6-cross eyed mary
7-up to me
8-wondring aloud
9-cheap day return
10-mother goose
11-life is a long song(remix)
12-lick your fingers clean
13-wind up(quad)
14-locomotive breath(quad)
15-life is a long song
16-nursie
17-my god
18-wind up
19-locomotive breath
20-hymn 43
21-slipstream

I quite like the quad version of wind up. It turns the hard rock version into a proggy version with less guitar and cleaner vocals and with more piano and bass. Locomotive breath comes off a bit better in the quad version too. Life is a long song comes up great in the remix. The old version has a very rough and unfinished drum track

Tull were a busy band in 71 by the looks it. Seems like half their best songs they made in 71 and 74 were left off the album. Strange decision

I'll go into more depth Big smile

1-up the pool-love it
2-dr bogenbroom-love it
3-for later-little gem
4-wondring again-love it
5-aqualung-love it
6-cross eyed mary-love it
7-up to me-most underrated track on aqualung
8-wondring aloud-little gem
9-cheap day return-little gem
10-mother goose-a bit like up to me, very good
11-life is a long song(remix)-this remix gives this gem justice
12-lick your fingers clean-fun track
13-wind up(quad)-proggy version. Less guitar, more piano, bass, clean vocals, no squeals
14-locomotive breath(quad)-better vocals, cool guitar panning
15-life is a long song-poor quality drum track spoils song. Thank god for the remix
16-nursie-not bad
17-my god-good moments, but a somewhat repetitive song
18-wind up-don't like martins guitar work or ians vocals in this version
19-locomotive breath-not bad
20-hymn 43-not bad
21-slipstream-not bad

Jazz/Classical Rock(70's style prog/fusion). Lots of prog keys and melodies(all original ideas)

Well, I've always liked the guitar solo on "Wind up", and the fact that it's some sort of anti-hymn. The main melody is hymn-like (you could easily imagine a sweeter-than-sweet choral arrangement) but the vocal is bitter. Admittedly, it would have been even more convincing if Ian had sung it in his normal voice.

Yeah i don't like how ian sings on it. I rarely listen to the song. The heavier bits are pretty snoozy. There's too many great songs they did in 1971 to worry about Wind up anyway Tongue

Here's what I think of 1974. I think there's about 20 songs. Lets see. I'll highlight the ones I really like in bold and the ones i quite like in red. The rest are ok. In no particular order

1-rainbow blues
2-glory row
3-paradise steakhouse
4-quartet
5-march the mad scientist
6-saturation
7-sealion 2
8-warchild
9-queen and country
10-solitaire
11-skating away
12-warchild waltz
13-back door angels
14-ladies
15-bungle in the jungle(remix)
16-two fingers
17-the third hoorah
18-bungle in the jungle
19-sealion

Check out the bungle remix. I don't like bungle much, but the remix sounds a fair bit better. It's quite annoying to me that the 4 or 5 songs i find weakest from close to available 20 songs are chosen for the album(For Warchild and Aqualung). Someone could hear those 2 albums and not rate the band, but if different songs were chosen, that same person may rate the band alot better. But they probably wouldn't have bought the remasters assuming bonus tracks are meant to be the weakest material LOL. Well as a progger I would have made the album alot different. But I think Ian and the boys were trying to get more popular so the made some pop songs too.

Back to topic - I think "My god" is the one song that stands alone far from all the others.

Are you talking about the so-called Limited Edition version of LIVING, on two CDs?
This now sells at amazon.uk for about £200! (Around $200, I guess.)

"My God" is nice, but my AQUALUNG fave has always been WIND UP.

I'm not sure if it's the limited edition but I'm quite sure it contains 2 CD's so the answer is probably  yes.
It seems it will be cheaper for you to take the plain to Israel and buy it here for a fair price. LOL

Wind up has great lyrics and I love that song but My god speaking of the wrong way people understand what god and belief is all about (with conotations to "the flutist from Hamlin") is briliant IMO.
