Please choose as if these were the only options for No. 2.

Why not just ask, "Which is the best out of these?"

1. Selling England By The Pound- 5 stars
2. Wish You Were Here- 5 stars 3. Thick As A Brick- 5 stars 4. In The Court of the Crimson King- 4 stars I voted Selling England, but these are all great albums. -Jeff /EDIT: If I were to space those, it would look like this: 1. Selling England 2. Wish You Were Here 3. Thick As A Brick 4. In The Court of the Crimson King While I made it seem like I don't like good 'ole ITchyCOCK, It's a great album and all, but in comparison to SeBtP for me...... I think if I'm going to vote for a "number two", then it makes some sense to me to go for the number two that is thick as a brick. Now that's an impressive "number two". I know that sounds offal.
Actually, I'll go with In the Commode of the Crimson King. |

If Close to the Edge were number one for me, then Torman Maxt's The Problem of Pain would be number two. And, despite the painful delivery, it is an eminently flushable number two.

Anything between one and five is interchangable for me, but then I've never been good with numbers. Today I voted Tull. Tomorrow never knows.

None of these make my personal top 5, but ITCOTCK is the closest, followed by SEBTP.

So, I take it you're actually asking about the second best out of these? That would be Selling England.

How correct you are. SEBTP deserves second place the most of these.

Ok, we have question, so my answer will be "In The Court Of The Crimson King" . As No.2 prog album ever. Whenever "Wish You Were Here" is of course No.1.

They're the original Proggers (and the original prog musician - Fripp) but King Crimson get a really bad rap on this site! Anything from ITCOTCK to Larks Tongues is pure, unadulterated proggy goodness and yet only ITCOTCK has recently snuck into 7th at this site.
So I'm putting ITCOTCK |
