That's funny I thought they had always had one to begin with.
![]() No offense to Jon, I do love his - or rather, her - singing. ![]() In all seriousness, I kind of like the idea. A great sounding attractive female singer would just complete the band somehow. Probably draw in even an even bigger audience, too! ![]() |

There is also a Steve Howe Cover of Turn of the Century with Annie Haslam on vocals, and it sounds very beautiful too.

Without controversy........Jon Anderson's presence/performance/rendition is vastly superior.... As one said above me...Jon Anderson makes Yes, Yes....

I dislike lead female vocals very much.
Even if I didn't, Jon is far better than her. The vocals are what turned me off Magenta. I don't mind back up female vocals but lead... no thanks. |

It's nice, I must say, but Jon has something extra. As if he understands the piece better. Nevertheless, funny that the female voice comes so close.

I'm sorry, but as soon as I pressed play on that video I started laughing. By the time the singer started I was too far gone to listen. There was just something hilariously dorky about the whole setup - acoustic guitars at neck-height, CGI star background, not to mention the fact that it was Wonderous Stories... not Yes's finest hour.
As for the idea, it's not too bad... okay, Anderson is vital if they were recording, but if it's just a tour doing classics than it would be an interesting idea... I'd like to see who they got. |

^heh... the song just makes me giggle. It's a great song on a great album, but so much loooove. My manhood can't absorb it without some sort of output...

Excellent. I love Magenta. I don't think Christina would do a bad job at all fronting Yes.
But Steve will always be the eye candy of the band.

Does anyone like the new singer Benoit David,i think he is doing a good job. His voice is very similar to Jon. If he quit, i think Magenta singer would be a good fit. But it's not Jon Anderson. He will come back, i am pretty sure... Edited by rdtprog - November 05 2009 at 06:25 |

Separated at birth? ![]() Granted, I've never seen Steve sporting a moustache, or speaking with a lisp, and bass is not his main axe. Edited by Slartibartfast - November 05 2009 at 07:30 |
