I submit a second piece of evidence. Not only is she a better singer, she's also some of the best eye candy out there.
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal.

A penny for my thoughts and yet I have to put my two cents in. What the hell is wrong with this equation?

I've said it for years - now here's proof why YES should consider it if Jon doesn't come back.

Good versions. But when it comes to female vocals covering Yes, there is still nothing better than this:

Gosh! That's amazing! And I'd never even heard of Happy Rhodes!

I only just discovered Magenta (their first album), and they have their moments, in spite of goofy lyrics and so on. I thought Christina did a pretty good job - but THIS is on a different level!

I usually think doing prog covers is kinda goofy but Yes cover band Parrallells also had a female vocalist a few years back who did justice to a lot of Yes songs. They did a particularily good version of Perpetual Change complete with drum solo.  That Glass Hammer version of South Side Of The Sky was absolutely atrocious.

Yeah, I opened a topic on her some months ago, didn't get much feedback.

I find it hard to agree. I am sorry, but to me all those links are proof that subject should be in fact "Why yes should NOT have female lead singer (EVER)".

Take care,
B.

Well, they look good. They sing good. They also sing good prog. Why shouldn't Yes have a female singer as much as a male voice if Jon wasn't up to singing in future for the band? Prog is about exploring light and shade, different time signatures, textures, something different.

I just saw the first video: the said singer is not bad, but her vocal style lacks the "particularisms" of Jon Anderson.
But I would watch the other videos, once I'm done watching "Grey's Anatomy" (nobody's perfect).

Anyway, it's true that the high-pitched vocals of Jon could easily sung by a woman. And, then, I wonder: has Jon some children, maybe a daughter?
I'm noticing your civilization right now just has this overall feel of a guy who's trying to get fired of his job.
