This topic has been an interest of mine for many, many years. I used to be in the conspiracy camp, but after much reading I have decided that the Warren Commission was correct in their findings. Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone assassin.
Your thoughts?

He certainly took liberties with the record.
I would hope that people would have sense enough to understand that his film JFK is historical fiction and not swallow the crap he's dishing out.

You haven't read Best Evidence: Disguise and Deception in the Assassination of John F. Kennedy by David Lifton.

Daffy Duck didn't carry around a gun.  I'm thinking Elmer Fudd or Yosemite Sam.

Amen to that.  I've probably read 50 books on the assassination and that one still tops 'em all.  Back then when the military brass told an underling that they "didn't see anything" it carried a lot more weight than it does now.  And the U.S. House of Reps inquiry came to the conclusion that JFK was murdered by more than one gunman and that official finding still stands today.  Take it up with the justice department as to why they didn't follow up on that.  I'm just sayin....

yep

all the scientific evidence supports the warren commission
a lot of people just can't accept that someone so seemingly insignificant could take down a president despite it already happening several times

f**k me!  Yes!  I was just having a glass of Johnny Walker (Black Label) and I had just come to the same conclusion.  At least I decided it must have been Yosemite (But maybe I am coming to conclusions without any real evidence?)

It must have been him though!??

I have read Lifton's books. Removing the body from Air Force One and altering the medical evidence via postmortem surgeries are the core of Lifton's arguements, if I remember correctly. Oswald is mentioned as if a footnote to the assassination.
I don't buy his theories for many reasons, the main one being the amount of people who would have to be involved in such a conspiracy.

The House Select committes multiple gunman/organized crime conclusion was based on an acoustical study that was later found to be flawed.
The police dictabelt recordings the experts analyzed were believed to be from Dealey Plaza at the time of the Assassination. It was later determined that the recordings are actually from several minutes after the gunshots had occured.
If you're interested in reading a pro Oswald as the only shooter book check out "cased closed" by Gerald Posner
Better still is the Warren Commission report itself. It's dry yet compelling reading that's often overlooked.

Wasn't the main thesis of that book shot down in several peer reviewed medical journals?
