Portishead. Only band I know with 3+ albums released and they're all 4+ stars.

For me the topic's title is the absolute definition for my favourite band: Dream Theater.
I wouldn't consider myself a fanboy, because some albums took long time to get really into, but now I love every piece of their work, every album of their is 4+.

Apart from them, Rush and Iron Maiden is very close to it, but they have 1 or 2 albums, that are not certainly bad, but I rarely feel like listening to them.

Great thread!

There's quite a few bands whom I consider pretty much never to have released a song I don't like -

The Police

Billy Joel

Pirate www.myspace.com/piratewastaken

Closure in Moscow www.myspace.com/closureinmoscow

King Crimson

Stone Temple Pilots (and Talk Show too)

Hughes-Turner Project

Ben Folds Five

cheers,
Mike

If were talking original members then Black Sabbath is key. I am incredibly fond of every album.
But when Dio came along, the love was quickly lost.

Everything Bruce Cockburn has released has been of the highest quality. That's 31 incisive, sparkling folk-rock albums.

The Dio albums are my favorites. I also like the albums with Tony Martin a lot.

I don't know a single band that has had a (relatively) prolific career and not given me something I don't like. King Cimson had Islands. Jethro Tull had... anything after Heavy Horses. Even my favorite artist of all time, Tom Waits, had 'Blue Valentine', so I don't know. Pink Floyd had Momentary Lapse and Savatage had Fight for the Rock. Comus never released an album I didn't like...but they only released two albums. Rolling Stones had their first few albums, same as Who and Beatles. maudlin of the Well comes close, as does Kayo Dot...but still, I never loved Psychobells or Coyote.

For me, No bands can do no wrong. Again, when I say that, I mean bands with more than one or two albums.

What this forum makes obvious is that in most instances, each person who listens to 'their' music thinks that the  judgement they make about the quality of what they like is accurate, and everyone who doesn't agree is deaf or stupid. Trouble is, it's only accurate for themselves. My own faults or merits aside, there are some shining lights on here of independent thinking, those who will dare to say their favourite groups can be crap, or that the groups they hate have produced something worthwhile. That surely has got to be the hope for the future of music and this forum.

^ I think it's just subjectivity, just because someone likes the entirety of a discography by a band doesn't mean they are blinkered and arrogantly in love with the band, they could just actually like them all.

However, they could just be fanboys Tongue

But then what's wrong with that?
