Last year one of the biggest and best modern jazz bands from Sweden suddenly had to break up because of the death of their frontman - E.S.T (Esbjörn Svensson Trio). Now their excelent bass player, Dan Berglund, has formed a new supergroup - Dan Berglund´s Tonbruket. Other members have different backgrounds in the swedish music scene, but one thing they have in common is that they are devoted and professional musicians. Their style is instrumental/progressive.Tonbruket have just released their first album and they are soon on the road in Europe.
They definitely deserve a recognition on this site since their music contains so much of stuff that progheads enjoy - moody athmosphere, adventurous compositions, great musicianship, progressive song structures....
Members:
Dan Berglund: Bass
Martin Hederos: Piano
Johan Lindström: Guitar
Andreas Werlin: Drums

^ I liked E.S.T. ,it's pity they doesn't exist anymore. It's nice to hear that Dan Berglund has a new band (to be honest I am not sure if it is correct to name them supergroup). From your samples it's difficult to realize, what kind of music they're playing ( I could listen only one song "Stethoscope", couldn't open another one). From what I heard their music is even far from jazz/ fusion then E.S.T. music was. Is it possible to hear more samples?

In fairness, snobb, Sister Sad has a lot more rock, but I still don't think there's enough to call them prog, even though I'm not sure what to classify them as. And that guitarist is a w**ker.
