I chose Advent of Panurge, but honestly this album is absolutely flawless in my opinion and I had a hard time choosing.

The Advent of Panurge, definitely. It was the song that made me check out Gentle Giant.

Cry for Everyone and River are close, though.

couldn't agree more! I voted for "Knots", though, but "Panurge" incredible. I bought this album without knowing a thing about them and I remember asking myself, "What instrument are these guys going to play next?".

I voted Knots ... but I could have gone with Advent of Panurge, A Cry For Everyone, Boys In The Band, or Think of Me With Kindness easily.

My vote here is somewhat random as this is such a great album, but for some reason Ranconteur, Troubadour comes to mind.  I would also like to give a special shout out to Dog's Life, simply because I will be very surprised if it gets any votes.  A good song in itself, but overshadowed by the excellence of the rest of the album.
Songs that I sang before come softly once again, and the shadows of uncounted journeys cross my way. -- Hermann Hesse

"The Advent of Panurge" wins hands down (though I find "Pantagruel's Nativity" even better), with "Knots" a very close follower. That song is pure brilliance!

Knots - so off the wall it's pure genius.

But all this album is excellent.

River, because of the beautiful vibraphone passages.

Impossible to choose, But I'll say Boys in the Band since I'm actually learning the bass part for it right now, and it's real fun to play.

Hate to be obvious, but "Advent of Panurge" is just unbeatable.  However, I never saw what was so great about "Knots," other than it being quirky.

A cry for Everyone grate vocals strong guitat riffs, stil som folk and prog parts, and some very grate lyrics i do think there is some deep meaning behiend the Lyricks in this particular song.

but i could also easaly vote for Advant of Panruge, River and Recounter Troubadour

The Boys In The Band.

Probably my favorite instrumental song yet (not including laughter of course).

Knots is one of my all time favorite songs of all time, and I'll vote for it here.

But Panurge is holding up a little better now that I have all their stuff.
Current Listening:

Heater valve kicking on.
Snotty noses being blown.
Griping.
Maybe cookies coming out of the oven???

C is for cookie, and it is good enough for me.

It looks like I'm the first and only person to vote for "Dog's Life". Thumbs Up

"Think of Me With Kindness" is a great song too.
