This a great band. They only released one album back in 1977.

Here's the myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/schtung77

It only has four songs, so if any team member wants to hear the whole just pm me. Anyway they also have some pretty strong psych influences going on. Great mellotron and synthwork. Also very quirky and humorous at times. An all around great band. But if eclectic doesn't work then they might fit in Psych/Space prog.

Thanks!

I've listened to all of their MySpace samples ... very mysterious and eccentric sounds indeed as they say.
Quirky folkish, jazzy, symphonic essence and psychedelic spice (not so strong IMO) they have.

Dunno how other subgenre teams should consider, but as you've mentioned, if they cannot ring Eclectic Team's bell, I'll take them onto Psych/Space turf.

EDIT: Oh, and if you can, would you please send me more samples? Wink

First impressions: Had a listen and I like it(due to poppy qualities, rather punky too, and some associations I'm making such as Supertramp, I question Eclectic as best "Art Rock" fit, but I will be spinning this more). I really wouldn't have thought it right for Psych, or considered it for there, but that's for that team to decide, and see it more in the "art rock" vein (Crossover is what immediately sprung to mind, but it does have certain Eclectic virtues methinks -- reminds me a bit of GG too, and there is that track called "School Days" -- haha, Supertramp's School, GG's School Days, next I'll be mentioning Stanley Clarke).  Thanks for the suggestion.

I think I'd want to hear the album for this one.
Just a fanboy passin' through.
