From Hydra Head's website (http://www.hydraheadlines.blogspot.com/):

Kayo Dot has entered the studio to begin recording their new EP, entitled S
tained Glass. The EP will consist of one, long composition of the same title, featuring the lineup of Coyote plus vibraphonist Russell Greenberg (Hi-Red Center, Yarn/Wire, Hunter/Gatherer). Kayo Dot will once again be recording with Jim Fogarty at Zing Studios in Westfield, MA - the man and studio behind Kayo Dot's Choirs of the Eye, Dowsing Anemone With Copper Tongue, Toby Driver's In The L..L..Library Loft, and maudlin of the Well's Bath, Leaving Your Body Map, and Part The Second. Additional recording will take place in various locations around the globe on portable 4-track cassette and antique 1/4" one-track reel-to-reel. The end result will be a dualistic rapport between Fogarty's super-clean, crystalline production and the intimate atmosphere of 2AM bedroom whispers. Stained Glass will be released by Hydra Head later in 2010.

In addition to that, the new Tartar Lamb composition is completely written. If they can't get a record label to support them, there's a good possibility it will be re-arranged for Kayo Dot. Now three KO. releases this year would really be something!

I wonder if "the lineup of Coyote" also includes Tim Byrnes, given that he is considered a session musician. I really like his style! I'm absolutely thrilled about the new EP... but first I seriously need some Coyote in my life.

I only wish that Stained Glass will actually be released this year. When I found out that Coyote had been delayed until April I almost cried!

Yeah, I know! I just wish it will ACTUALLY be released this year! Is that bad grammar? Confused

Wait, I'm confused, you know its out this year but you wish it will actually be out this year?Confused

If you're referring to Coyote being held back several months that was a Hydra Head Records decision, and since this bit of news comes from HH I think we can take it as a late 2010 release.

Yes, Andrew, that's exactly what I'm referring to. Hydra Head announced last june that Coyote will be released in Fall of 2009... and what do you know, we're still waiting for it!

The recording for Stained Glass started six days ago, and anything is possible... But I sincerely hope it'll be released soon.

I didnt know HH had promised an 09 release, all I was hearing came from Driver himself.
