I don't know if this has been mentioned on PA but Three Friends will not only play live at the NearFest on June 19th but they will also play 2 gigs in Québec, Canada. Here are the dates:

June 15th at l'Olympia de Montréal, Montréal

June 16th at Le Palais Montcalm,  Québec city.

I saw them at the FMPM last September and it was absolutely fantastic. I already have my ticket for the Montreal show and I'm so excited Clap

That's awesome news!

Unfortunately I won't travel halfway around the world to see them again. It's been almost a year since their gig in Gothenburg, Sweden (25 April) but my memories are still as fond as ever. I really recommend seeing this show if you're even remotely interested in Gentle Giant!

At this point I think there are only "Two Friends" , Kerry Minnear was in the band until early October, 2009.Cry

That's truly a pity since it was Kerry's occasion vocals that made the performance even greater of a spectacle!

Here's a sample:

Maybe so but however you classify them they are a real treat to see live. I think anyone pulling off Gentle Giant material so well (I saw them in the UK on September 2nd 2010) is a little more than 'just a cover band' but whatever thay are I think most Gentle Giant fans would love them if they had the chance to see them. The audience reaction in Shoreham was rapturous, the band were simple excellent and probably unique.

Best wishes

David
