You had 27 possible slots for this poll. Well regulated capitalism and the removal of corporational personhood would do wonders for the "system" as well as those of us who don't start out with the capital to play with in the first place but are at the mercy of those who do.

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Regulating capitalism in a capitalist set up is like asking someone not to breathe; its not going to happen. Your going to have to kill that person if you want them to stop. That the identity of exploitation and capitalism isn't obvious and the thought goes that you can have one without the other is a product of the total "poverty" of the American outlook. It is disgusting that people can turn the other way when poverty, inequality and war rage across this planet.

I'm a Libertarian, but I am also a capitalist. I believe corporatism is the real culprit, here. Capitalism (when it works right) is wonderful. It's when it gets out of control that things start to get shady.
In any case, I picked option three. It's not a perfect system, but at this point in time I believe it to be the best one, and I don't see anything around the corner that could work any better.

Right. There's a saying close to "it's not a perfect system, it's just the only workable one we have." Another goes "under Capitalism man exploits man, under Socialism the reverse is true."

Mankind has evolved and has had so many changes that I just can't imagine it giving up and admitting capitalism is the only "workable" solution for all times... Maybe not while we're alive, but one day it HAS to fall... It carries within itself the seed of its own destruction...
Of course, that second statement is quite simplistic. If you equate socialism=communism, yes. If you equate socialism=a-system-with-regulation-and-some-level-of-state-intervention then the answer is a resounding no. A system in-between is the only answer... Not communism like in NK or Cuba, not Brutal Capitalism like people want here in the US.

And I hardly consider the US system "brutal". There is lots of social spending, even if less than some other countries commit.

Read my last paragraph. What you call socialism is really communism (or "real socialism", but was applied in reality in the soviet bloc and in southeast asia and in some hispanic countries). I'm not in favor of THAT socialism. I'm all in favor of the one that respects free market but doesn't treat it as a religion.

Well, if you have a 360, I highly recommend downloading Perfect Dark. It's a classic, one of the first console FPS games that actually worked, and still a lot of fun even today. Yes, that's a plug, but seriously, if you like shooters, not playing this game is just a sin. 
Of course, you should look it up first and see if it looks like something you would enjoy, but I really think you will.

I love capitalism so much that sometimes it makes me shed tears of joy. The mere sight of a supermarket produce section or a pound of macaroni and cheese for 50 cents at Wall Mart causes my vision to swim with American flags while the sweet strains of John Philip Sousa play in the background.
I can't understand how so many people can be so attached to their cell phones and computers and cars and airplanes and satellite TV, and then turn around and try to destroy the system that made these things possible.
p.s. in case it wasn't obvious, I voted option three, although with the way things are going, the chances of that happening are looking grim.

Fair enough 10 years ago I would have agreed. I no longer believe in entitlement. I think the most prosperity for young people will come from getting out of their way, than burying them with the debts of ever increasing social spending and business mandates.
