Flied Egg was a Japanese psych/prog/hard rock band from early 70'. They recored 2 albums which present completely different style.

Their first album "Dr. Siegel's Fried Egg Shooting Machine "(1972) is a heavy rok/art rock record very similar to early Uriah Heep. Lots of Hammonds, guitars and occasional Moog. Some songs seems to be almost complete UH ripp-offs in fact. However it's still very good album.

Their second album Goodbye (1972) is a compeltely diffferent story. Most of the album was recorded live with no keyboards (keyboardist and guitarist is the same guy so it would be impossible to have both in the same time :-). Sound is very rough/raw and heavy blues oriented. However in the end of the disk there is 8 minutes "521 Seconds Of Schizophrenic Symphony" which is studio track with full blown symphonic Hammond organ performence.

line-up:

Hiro Tsunoda : Vocals, Drums, Percussion
Shigeru Narumo : Guitar, Back Vocals, Keyboard
Masayoshi Takanaka : Bass

Guitarist/keyboardist and drummer previously created another psych/prog band (duo) called "Strawberry Path".

as I said in your Strawberry Path thread, both incarnations were rejected for HP--  it's possible they could be looked at for Progrelated and/or Psych but that's up to those teams

They're absolutely prog, and they deserve to be here. I'm not sure should it be Heavy, Psych or Eclectic. We evaluated it a while ago but never reached a concensus.  I think the members of the band were known under some other (well known Japanese) prog name, perhaps they should be nested within its discography?

Clap
They have been recommended about a year before first in Psych/Space Team (by me LOL ) and as you've said we consider they should be progressive but it's very hard to classify them for us.

EDIT: Strawberry Path/Flied Egg have been cleared for addition to Prog-Related.
I'll add them in ASAP ... please let me take time.
